At first glance, you probably won’t see much of a difference with the previous version of the store. On second glance, however, you might notice the bar at the top of the screen that counts down to the free shipping amount, the one step checkout page or the pictures of cardboard boxes, of all things, in the Miron violet glass categories.
The cardboard boxes mean that you can now order full boxes, packs or bags of most Miron violet glass items and accessoiries. At a discount, of course, because it is less work to pack a full box than to unpack it and pack and ship the contents of it separately. A few pictures are still missing, they will follow in the next few weeks.
The addition of bulk packs has led to the adjustment or disappearance of the tier prices of most items. The higher tiers are almost exclusively used by business customers, so they have moved to the new business accounts. These accounts have adjusted prices for violet glass, but also a slightly higher free shipping amount for the Netherlands, namely € 75,-. You will also need to have a Chamber of Commerce registration or the foreign equivalent of it to qualify for a business account.
Existing accounts have already been changed, but please check it (your login credentials have remained unchanged) and let me know if I missed you.

Mollie Bank Transfer
During testing and configuration it turned out that the Bank Transfer option in the Mollie app has some interesting features. Mollie is a Netherlands-based international payment provider, in case you haven’t heard of them yet, and we’ve been using them for over a year now,
When you choose the Bank Transfer option, the next screen has the option to either complete the bank transfer immediately by scanning the QR code, but you can also choose to do so at a later time, in which case you can click the button to return to the website. All the information will be sent to you by e-mail.
It’s that e-mail that’s the interesting feature. It not only has the bank details for Mollie and the QR code, it also contains the payment link that would normally have to be created for you manually. That link takes you to the Just Flow payment screen at Mollie, where you can choose from all the activated payment methods. This way, you don’t have to wait for the link to be created and it’s less stressful on this side if I’m not able to create and send the link at short notice 🙂
Order History
Unfortunately, it hasn’t been possible to transfer previous orders from the old database. The idea was abandoned after a number of failed attempts, as the database tables are too different, I don’t really know what I’m doing when it comes to advanced database operations, and the whole thing failed so spectacularly that it set the whole project back a month. So now the old store is in a password protective folder and if you need information on previous orders, I can still look it up for you.
Social Media Login
One of the new modules enables you to log in using a social media account. Twitter and Google already work, PayPal and possibly Facebook will be added shortly.
New Categories
The store now also features pendulums, dowsing wands and incense. The crystals will follow sometime next year.
